Kit Check Expands Clinical Team with Addition of Healthcare Industry Veterans Jennifer Splawski, Pharm.D., M.S., BCPS and Lauren Forni, Pharm.D.

Team of experienced professionals brings decades of experience to help meet the needs of hospitals and health systems

WASHINGTON, July 28–Kit Check, the leading automation vendor in Medication Intelligence™ solutions that brings cost savings, efficiency, and patient safety to hospitals, today announced the expansion of its dedicated clinical team with two new directors of clinical solutions: Jennifer Splawski, Pharm.D., M.S., BCPS and Lauren Forni, Pharm.D. Jennifer is a seasoned professional with over 10 years of experience creating pharmacy service lines. She received her Pharm.D. from the University of Illinois at Chicago and her Master of Science in Pharmacy with an emphasis in Toxicology from the University of Florida. Lauren has been involved in the pharmacy management field for eight years, most recently as the Assistant Director of Pharmacy Services at Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital. She received her Pharm.D. and her Master of Business Administration at Northeastern University.

“In my previous role as a clinical coordinator, one of my responsibilities was to review trending hospital-wide medication safety errors and collaboratively work with other departments to create systems to prevent these errors,” Splawski said. “In my new role at Kit Check, I look forward to collaborating with other members of the clinical team to find strategies to help streamline processes and lighten the workload for pharmacists at organizations across the country.”

“Throughout my career, I have been passionate about modernizing health systems through innovation and technology solutions to empower clinicians and improve patient care,” said Forni. “I have extensive knowledge of the pharmacy supply chain, pharmacy operations, informatics and information systems, 340B, and drug diversion, which I think will help the clinical team, as well as Kit Check’s customers, better understand the full picture when it comes to pharmacy management and make the best decisions for their organizations.”

Since its inception, Kit Check has been committed to making pharmacy-first product innovations, and the company’s clinical team ensures that it is better able to meet the needs of hospital pharmacists in the field. In their new roles, Splawski and Forni will work with the team to simplify and improve medication tracking and management within healthcare organizations.

“We are thrilled to welcome Jennifer and Lauren to our clinical team,” said Doug Zurawski, Pharm.D., SVP of Clinical Strategy at Kit Check. “Especially with the addition of Kit Check Professional Services, which employs a dedicated specialist to help hospitals and health systems manage their drug diversion programs, we are constantly seeking leaders with clinical experience to add to our team in order to best serve our customers. Jennifer and Lauren’s backgrounds and deep understanding of diversion and pharmacy management ensure that they are well equipped to help bolster the team and offer the services our customers are looking for.”

Splawski and Forni join five other members of the Kit Check clinical team including Zurawski; Jennifer Symon, R.Ph., MBA, FACHE, director of clinical solutions; Scott Person, Pharm.D., product owner for Bluesight Insights; AJ Rivosecchi, Pharm.D., product manager for Bluesight Insights and Beju Shah, Pharm.D., director of clinical solutions.
